Inhibiting the Fusion of Enveloped Viruses
Abstract
Enveloped viral entry is a process that concludes with the delivery of genomic material into the host cell by the fusion of the lipid bilayers of the virion and the host cell, making membrane fusion a critical step of the enveloped viral life cycle.
