Duct adenoma appears as an exceptionally discerned, benign tumefaction comprised of distorted glandular articulations circumscribed within a fibrous tissue capsule and intermingled within a sclerotic stroma. Initially scripted Azzopardi and Salm in 1984, the adenomatous lesion is configured of miniature and intermediate ducts disseminated within peripheral breast tissue. Alternative nomenclature of sclerosing papilloma is not recommended.
