Abstract

Lung cancer is the most common malignancy coexisting in patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE) [1]. A large population-based, case–control study demonstrated that patients with hematologic malignancies had the highest risk of VTE, followed by patients with lung and gastrointestinal cancers.
