William Osler, a Canadian-born physician from the late 1800s and early 1900s was quoted as saying “medicine is a science of uncertainty and an art of probabilityâ€. However, by inserting my own words into this statement it would now read “a contact investigation, most notably a congregate setting investigation, is a science of uncertainty and an art of probabilityâ€.
