Hyperemesis gravidarum can sometimes be complicated with potentially life threatening complications, one of which is central pontine myelinolysis. Here we present a case of 23-year-old women who presented with hyperemesis with prolonged and severe hyponatraemia who subsequently developed spastic quadriparesis, diagnosed to be due to central pontine myelinolysis. She recovered on supportive measures and delivered at term uneventfully.
