The general objective of this article is to develop Marx’s dialectical exposition of interest-bearing capital and discover the potential of this category to understand the fetishized relations of the capitalist mode of production. For this, we intend to follow Marx’s lexicon on the development of capital and interest that is present in the opening chapters of section V of Book III of Capital. Section V, as Engels himself states, was the most difficult part to organize and edit, as many texts were unfinished and the chapters did not have a clear expository order. In this way, the article seeks to organize a brief introduction to the reading of interest-bearing capital in Marx
