Fish waste and By-products: A Valuable Source of Nutrients and Bioactive Compounds for Combating Malnutrition

Abstract

Faced with the growing food deficit, man is constantly on the lookout for new food products. In particular, he must find new sources of essential amino acids and fatty acids, minerals and vitamins whose insufficient intake is frequent and has serious health consequences. In this area, fish by-products and fish waste are of great potential. Indeed, they are available in large quantities, of advantageous composition, and account for the composition of fish wastes and by-products and argue the validity of their value as a source of nutrients that are insufficiently consumed by a large population.
