Optically Active Mxene Multilayers with Superior Antimicrobial Efficacy

Abstract

This work focuses on the synthesis and comprehensive analysis of multilayer Ti3C2Tx MXene Nano sheets derived from the Ti3AlC2 MAX phase. Using a conventional hydrofluoric acid (HF)-based etching method, the A-layer element (Aluminium) was selectively removed to obtain Ti3C2Tx, followed by characterization through X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and confocal Raman spectroscopy.
