Seiji Takeuchi belongs to Department of Dermatology in Kobe Medical Center. He is also engaged in basic research works as Medical Researcher in Division of Dermatology, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine. He graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine on 1991 (M.D.), and got Ph.D. on 1998 from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. He performed Postdoctoral Fellowship in Douglas Brash laboratory in Yale University in New Haven and Kenneth Kramer laboratory in NCI, NIH in Bethesda from 2001 to 2003. His major is General Dermatology, Photobiology and Pigment Cell Research.
