Bernard A. Steinman is a gerontologist whose research assesses how home and community environments impact the health and functioning of older adults and those of all ages who have disabilities. Within the department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Dr. Steinman teaches courses in Community Leadership, Program Evaluation, and the Fundamentals of Aging.
He was the chair of the Wyoming Home Modification Action Coalition, a group of regional stakeholders with the shared mission to promote home safety, independence and quality of life of Wyoming residents through increased access to home modifications. He also serves as Executive Director of Age-Friendly Laramie, a non-profit that promotes aging in place in the community.
