Biography

Dr. Tamayo-Enriquez, M.D. F.A.C.S, is a physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma/Critical Care and Division of Transplant Surgery, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center. Dr. Tamayo-Enriquez received his medical degree from Escuela de Medicina Ignacio A. Santos del Tecnologico de Monterrey Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Tamayo-Enriquez completed a Multiple Abdominal Transplant Surgery and Immunology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, and also completed a Multidisciplinary Critical Care Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Dr. Tamayo-Enriquez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is also a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Society of Transplant Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
