Biography

Wenchun Qu, MD, PhD is board certified in PM&R and Pain Medicine and is a consultant at the Department of Pain Medicine. He serves as the Jorge and Leslie Bacardi Associate Director for Mayo Clinic Center for Regenerative Biotherapeutics in Florida, vice-Chair of Research and Innovation at the Department of Pain Medicine, and Director of Regenerative Pain Medicine. He holds the academic rank of Professor of Anesthesiology and Associate Professor of PM&R at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Dr. Qu pursues advancing cell and gene therapy through streamlining biomanufacturing and clinical trials. His clinical practice focuses on degenerative spine and musculoskeletal conditions. His laboratory focuses on cell and gene therapy for treatment of spinal cord injury, degenerative disc disease, and osteoarthritis.
