She is an ophthalmologist, specializing in uveitis, with a Masters and Doctorate in this field from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and an observership in uveitis at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, in 2002. She has been a staff member in the uveitis department at the Federal Hospital for State Employees for 7 years, and She has been working at the Brazilian Institute of Ophthalmology since 2003, in the Uveitis and Retina departments. She has been participating in national and international conferences as a speaker in the fields of Uveitis/Retina, as well as in the teaching and publication of articles with ophthalmology residents at the Federal Hospital for State Employees.
