Biography

: Currently, Prof. Mohd Kafeel Ahmad Ansari is serving as Associate Professor for Biology at the Department of Biology, University of Guyana, South America. Also he is a recipient of an internationally competitive, prestigious Australian Research Award, Government of Australia, for his work in the area of developing environmentally friendly green technology (Phytoremediation). He worked as Visiting Scientist at the CERAR, UniSA, Australia. He is a receiver of the Foreign Citizens Research Award, Government of Turkey and worked as Foreign Citizens Research Scientist at the Department of Biology, AU, Turkey. Subsequently, he was also conferred with prominent Dr. D. S. Kothari Research Award, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to commence research cum teaching at the Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi. Later, Based on his rich academic cum research proficiency, he was appointed as an Australian Awards Ambassador for higher educational institutions of India, Government of Australia. He worked as Associate Professor for Botany, Department of Life Science, SP University, India. In recent past, he experimented to develop stress-tolerant plants together with modulation of antioxidant defence system in plants against abiotic stress, and the phytoremediation potential of mustard genotypes and some cereals crop plants. Also he extended his research focuses on cyanobacteral laccase potential for decolorization of synthetic toxic dyes, biosynthesis of nano-particles and restoration of ecosystems. His scientific achievements include publication of numerous high impact research articles in a wide variety of international peer reviewed journals as well as regulate contributions to a range of national and international conferences/seminars/workshops. He won various prestigious national and international awards. Due to his diverse expertise in multidisciplinary research, he is in high demand as an external thesis examiner worldwide and also figured in various Scientific Committees globally. At present, Dr. Ansari is serving as member of many Editorial boards and reviewer of a number of high impacts international Scientific Journals. A part from this, Ansari is
interested in developing research projects, international scientific collaboration.
