Biography

Silvia Dalzero has an architect since 2006 and a PHD in architecture with a thesis about urban transformations in relation to disposal systems waste. She carries out research at the University of Architecture in Venice, IUAV since 2013 at the beginning with a research in theme of Ruins, debris and rubble in the theatres of war’ and then with other scholarships in theme Walls and borders, a new geography of the World and since 2021, the research activity continues with a grant on the subject The construction of new boundary walls and their influence in the transformation of cities. In 2018 she carries out research also at University of Architecture of Pescara, with a scholarship in theme territories destroyed by war or natural disasters and their reconstruction. She has collaborated, since 2011, in the teaching at the IUAV in the course of Architectural-urban design and since 2018/19 she has collaborated in the teaching at the University of Architectural Engineering, Brescia where since 2019/20 she is a contract professor in the Laboratory of Architectural-urban design. In 2016/17 she was a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia (first year of specialty) and since 2012/2013 she has been a contact professor of Architectural Design at University of Architecture in Milan, POLIMI. She participates in conferences, workshops of national and international scientific interest and she has several publications including two books Rejected landscapes-Recycled landscapes published in 2015 by Scholars-press Paesaggi alterati published in 2019 by Liberedizioni and OLTRE IL MURO Liberedizioni 2019.
