Rukiye is currently working as a researcher at Republic of Turkey (TC) Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Environmental Engineering, Izmir/Turkey. She completed her undergraduate education at T.C. Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Environmental Engineering. She completed her undergraduate theses in the 1st semester: "Sound Insulation Materials and Their Areas of Use" and the 2nd semester: "An Inventory Study on Samsun Solid Waste" [B.S. (Eng)]. She studied her master education at T.C. Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Environmental Engineering on “Color Removal from Textile Wastewater in Sequencing Batch Reactor” (MSc.). She completed her doctorate education at T.C. Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Environmental Engineering on “Effect of Sonication on the Treatment of Toxic and Refractory Wastewaters” (Ph.D.). She completed her post-doctorate education at T.C. Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) Department of Supporting Scientists (BIDEB) 2218-Domestic Postdoctoral Research Scholarship Program with a scholarship on “The Production of Methane Gas from Carbon Dioxide” She has many international publications.
