Mahadevan is currently working as Research Associate (MoES-NCCR Project). He hold a doctoral degree with a major in Marine Biology which was awarded by Annamalai University, India on 2016. He has a research experience of more than a decade on biodiversity, ecology and biology of fishes of Indian coastal waters. He has published 37 research articles in Peer reviewed journals and published two books. Further, He has participated in many Environmental Impact Assessment surveys in Indian coastal waters majorly funded by WAPCOS LIMITED, L&T-RAMBOLL & Universal Crescent Power Pvt. Ltd and also contributed significantly in the report writing for the above said surveys. He worked as Project Manager in Nature Environment Wildlife Society (NEWS) in ONGC-CSR funded project on restoration of mangroves and conservation of turtles at Karaikal coast by involving local communities and other Govt. stakeholders from August 2022 to October 2023.
