Biography

Dr. Makhmanov Urol Kudratovich is a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Optics and Spectroscopy Laboratory of the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies named after U. Arifov, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2012-2022 he worked as a junior researcher and senior researcher at the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since February 1, 2022, he has been working as the head of the "Optics and Spectroscopy" laboratory of the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies. He received the scientific titles of Senior Researcher in 2018. He defended in 2021 his doctoral thesis at the specialized board of the Institute of the Ion-plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic "Mechanisms of self-organization of macromolecules of C60, C70 fullerenes, as well as carbon nanotubes in solutions and in volume evaporating drops" 01.04.05 - Optics specialty. General work activity - 23 years, scientific work activity - 18 years. The total number of published scientific articles by U.K. Makhmanov is 52, and the number of abstracts in conference proceedings is more than 90. His scientific research is dedicated to the research of optical, nonlinear optical and physico-chemical properties of nanoscale materials necessary for new generation devices, in particular fullerenes and nanotubes. Based on these studies, the synthesis of nano-sized densely packed and porous fullerene aggregates due to the self-assembly effect of molecules in the molecular solution of fullerenes in organic solvents was shown in experiments for the first time. Concrete physico-chemical mechanisms of synthesis of fullerene nanoaggregates and ultra-thin films based on them were proposed. In addition, physical mechanisms for the synthesis of one-dimensional nanotubes and nanowhiskers based on fullerene molecules were developed
