Biography

Dr Weifu Sun was awarded PhD degree from University of New South Wales (Australia) in December of 2012, he subsequently pursued postdoctoral training at the University of New South Wales, University of Sydney, University of Birmingham and University College London, prior to joining Beijing Institute of Technology (2018-2024) and Southeast University in 2024 as a full Professor. So far, he has authored more than 100 international journal papers, applied for 15 Chinese patents and been in charge of National1000 Talents Program of China Youth Project, Youth and General Program of NSFC, Project and sub-project of National Key R&D Program of China, etc and has been granted 2021 ICCES Outstanding Young Researcher Award, 2020 IAAM Medal (International Association of Advanced Materials), 2022 IAAM Fellow, 2023 IAAM Scientist Medal, 2022 Natural Science Foundation of Chongqing for Distinguished Young Scholars, 2023 Shandong Taishan Youth Scholar, 2024 World’s Top 2% Scientist.
