Biography

Dr. Ahmad Abid received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, China. His research focuses on thermoelectric materials, nanomaterials, advanced functional materials, thermal transport, and energy conversion technologies. His work emphasizes defect engineering, interface engineering, entropy engineering, and structure–property relationships to develop high-performance functional materials for sustainable energy applications. Dr. Abid has extensive expertise in materials synthesis, spark plasma sintering, structural characterization, and electrical and thermal transport measurements. He has published numerous research articles in leading international journals, including Energy & Environmental Science, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and ACS Applied Energy Materials. His research has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Guangdong Outstanding International Talent Award.
