Dr. Satyaki Kundu is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, working under Prof. Oren Tal in the field of electronic noise in atomic scale junctions. He earned his Ph.D. from IISER Kolkata, India, where his research focused on criticality and metastability in first-order hysteretic phase transitions. His expertise spans resistance-noise spectroscopy, time series analysis, nonlinear dynamics, and atomic scale energy conversion. Dr. Kundu has contributed significantly to understanding phase transitions in complex materials like transition metal oxides and halide perovskites. He combines experimental physics with theoretical simulations using mean-field and resistance network models. He is a recipient of several prestigious fellowships including the Sir Charles Clore Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Lady Davis Fellowship. He has published in high impact journals like Physical Review Letters and actively contributes to peer review processes (as a reviewer).
