Biography

An Obstetrician and Gynecologist (Soroka BGU University, Israel) and Maternal Fetal Medicine (UFT Toronto Canada).Currently the director of Labor and Delivery Division at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hebrew University Medical Center. Previously the Director of Maternal -Fetal Division at Hadassah Ein Kerem. Currently a Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew university Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel .Have published more than 80 publications mostly on Obstetric subject including; Safety of trial of labor after cesarean section, Grand multiparty, instrumental deliveries and more. In the last decade my main area of research is the biological effects of the pregnancy on fetal and neonatal normal and abnormal psychologic development .I have been in charge of the perinatal psychology research laboratory at Hadassah since 2010 My research emphasis is on biological factors during pregnancy that have a role during pregnancy, in the pathogenesis and future development of Autism in the child. The research emphasizes the significance of oxytocin in the development of social skills in the fetal’s brain. A book on the pathogenesis of Autism was edited with others in 2014 .The studies include in vitro studies ,studies in mice and in pregnant women .10 research grants including more than 1 million US $ made a significant contribution to my research effort.
