Biography

Through my PhD research, we introduced for the first time world wide a new method of insemination termed as mice intra-bursal insemination and was accomplished in 1997.Then I used the mice oviductal fluid medium for IVF procedure and Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) .Following my working as a Research Fellow in Cleveland Clinic foundation, I did my best in the lab to help the infertile couples of my country, Iraq. As a team work ,we did increase the pregnancy rate(PR) in our IVF Institute from 8% in 2003 to reach 14.8% in 2004 .Whereas, with my postgraduate students , the PR was elevated to 21-22% through 2004-2006,24.5% in 2009 and 37% in 2013 using Iraqi criteria for such success. Moreover, my researches on the IVF media mixed with extract of herbal plant such as Glycyrrhiza glabra , Citrullus colocynth’s and others, the results were revealed a significant improvement in sperm function parameters , the rates of good oocytes quality , embryonic development and grades with no harmful effects on the DNA normality .Recently different new female reproductive hormones were included in my research studies such as activin A, fibrillin -3, follistatin and others. We recorded a new cutoff values for them when measuring these hormones through IUI and ICSI cycles. Regarding my work and research in gender selection I did a modification in the techniques and media used and the results PR for infertile couples were similar to fertile one.
