Dr. Mario A. Muñoz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from Boston University, an M.S. in Exercise Sciences from Northern Michigan University, and a B.A. in Physical Education from the University of Puerto Rico. With over two decades of academic experience, Dr. Muñoz has taught at various institutions, including the University of Massachusetts Boston and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Muñoz is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM) and has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences. He is actively involved in professional organizations, serving on committees for the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education, promoting diversity and inclusion in the field.
