Paula Upright is the Director of the School of Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport at Western Kentucky University. Dr. Upright began her career as an Athletic Trainer at WKU from 1997-2009. An Associate Professor teaching sport management since 2009, her teaching and research areas include sport ethics, leadership, injury prevention, and current issues in Recreation and Sport Administration. Upright holds degrees from the University of Louisville (09), Virginia Tech (97) and Appalachian State University (94). Dr. Upright was a team captain and scholarship athlete on the women’s basketball team at ASU. She is working on completing the Abbott World Marathon Majors, running the 6 most renowned marathons in the world.
