Orestis M Ioannidis is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the 4th Surgical Clinic, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, specializing in general, laparoscopic, and oncologic surgery of the digestive system. He holds two master’s degrees, one in Medical Research Methodology and another in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery and a PhD with distinction from Aristotle University, where he graduated first in class.
He has completed over nine months of advanced surgical fellowships at leading centers in Austria, Italy, France, Germany, and the USA, supported by prestigious scholarships from international surgical societies, including the ACS, EAES, ESSO, ESCP, and EPC. His research portfolio includes participation in 141 clinical and experimental studies, over 400 experimental publications, and numerous awards in international and national conferences.
