Gamal El Qot is a professor of stratigraphy and Paleontology at Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Benha, Egypt. He became his Msc in geology and PhD in geology, during his PhD he studied in Wuerzburg, Germany through channel system program. After completed his PhD on Late Cretaceous Macrofossils from Sinai, he published several papers on echinoids, ammonites, bivalves, and gastropods taxonomy as well as biostratigraphy, Palecology, and taphonomy from Egypt. Moreover, he have also described and illustrated the Late Cretaceous macrofossils from Libya. Later, he published some papers in the Cretaceous macrofossils taxonomy and biostratigraphy on Algeria.
