Biography

Escamilla KIA is a Veterinarian and Zootechnician bachelor’s formation and master’s´ degree in Production Sciences and Animal Health, both obtained in by the UNAM. PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Sciences was obtained at the UADY. With more than 20 years of experience in the apicultural fields. Currently, she works as a Researcher C category at the CENID FyMA of INIFAP in the area of Bees-Honey, and have SNII recognition from SECIHTI-Mexico as a National Research Candidate. The main line of work is nutrition and feeding in honeybees, in addition to the study of the bioactive components of hive products and other foods for use as functional food. As part of her command as a researcher, she have international and national collaboration, research and technology transfer projects. Also, she has been a reviewer for works papers for national and international Journals; and also, worked as a co-direction in bachelor´s, master´s and specialty degrees thesis or degree work.
