Biography

Dr. Geetanjali Chawla is a Wellcome-DBT Intermediate fellow in the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, India, where she is involved in research and teaching. She is also affiliated with the Department of Biology, Indiana University, USA, as an adjunct Associate Scientist. She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, from the Indian Institute of Science, India in 2002. She utilizes Drosophila melanogaster as a model to understand the role of post-transcriptional regulators in aging.

Research Interests

Nutrition dependent regulation of aging post-transcriptional mechanisms that regulate gene expression non-coding RNAs late onset diseases.
