Jaime Hinzpeter C work as a Traumatologist in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Service of the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile. During my stay in this service, he carries out activities in a polyclinic, hospitalized wards and surgical wards. In relation to surgical wards, in addition to performing arthroscopic knee and hip surgeries on both hospitalized patients, as well as scheduling patients performing fellowships in the Specialist Training Program who carry out their elective rotation by the Knee Team.
During his academic activities in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Service of the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile, he teach 4th year students of medicine in their practical activities during the first and second semesters, teaching students to recognize the various pathologies of sports medicine.
In his teaching activities for interns of 6th year of medicine, attention is shared with users and it is taught to differentiate the pathologies that can be consulted in regional hospitals when assuming as zone generals. 7th year medical students who undergo their elective internship rotation are taught knee pathologies for their future application for the specialization scholarship.
The activities for postgraduate students teach the arthroscopic technique in surgical wards, as well as encouraging the monitoring of patients at outpatient controls.
He have participated in the creation of the Specialization Program in Arthroscopic Surgery of the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile, dependent on the Faculty of Medicine, Graduate School, transferring knowledge and techniques to the doctors who enter this program.
According to the above, since his degree he have participated in the theoretical-practical training of the new Doctors of the University of Chile, giving them the baggage of knowledge acquired through attending advanced training courses, congresses, conferences and others.
In this context, he is part of the team of surgeons who, apart from providing specialized attention to the population, are part of the team of Teachers who prepare future Sub-specialist Surgeons in the country. Likewise, we deliver our knowledge and experiences to the students of the Medicine Career. As a member of this House of Studies, he will persist in the creation and implementation of teaching projects that tend to the training of excellence of the new generations that allow the strengthening of this Training Center and the improvement of the quality of life of people.
