Biography

Kun-Han Chuang’s current research focuses on the role of hedgehog signaling in lung carcinogenesis in the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences since February 2018. He obtained his PhD degree from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan in 2013. In his PhD program, Dr. Chuang studied therapeutic impacts of nature compound glucosamine on acute lung inflammation and breast cancer. After earning his PhD degree, as a postdoctoral associate, he used yeast model to study inclusion body formation of mutated huntingtin protein with Yanchang Wang at the Florida State University from 2014 to 2016.Subsequently, as a postdoctoral fellow, he studied the role of the proteotoxic stress response in tumorigenesis with Chengkai Dai at the National Cancer Institute from 2016 to 2018.
