Biography

Joseph Bonvie is a retired U.S. Navy Operational Psychologist who currently serves as the Senior Director of Clinical Services for Home Base, and Instructor with Harvard Medical School. During his 21-year U.S. Navy career, Dr. Bonvie has held several senior leadership positions within the Department of Defense, to include Force Psychologist for Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Director of Operational Psychology for two Naval Special Warfare Major Commands, Chief Consultant for Navy Operational Psychology (2013 to 2018), and the inaugural Director of the Navy Operational Psychology fellowship (2014 to 2018). Dr. Bonvie earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2003) from the Florida Institute of Technology and is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology, and a Certified Mental Performance Consultant.

Dr. Bonvie is research interests include optimal performance high risk occupation selection and sustainment brain health Health Span military mental health and wellness
