Biography

Ervin S. Batchelor, Ph.D., ABPP-CN is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist licensed in North Carolina and Florida. After receiving a BA in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 1978, he attended Radford University and was awarded an MA in Clinical Psychology in 1979. He obtained a Ph.D. in School Psychology with specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology in 1989, graduating with honors. Dr. Batchelor was appointed the first Fellow in Clinical Neuropsychology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Harvard Medical School in 1989. There he held a position as Instructor of Neurology. Dr. Batchelor grew a practice in Clinical Neuropsychology serving individuals across the developmental spectrum, and continuum of care. Relying on an interdisciplinary team the practice became a mainstay for evaluation and treatment of individuals presenting with developmental and acquired neurologic conditions. Since this time, he has served as Clinical Director for an outpatient program serving children with ASD and their families, and consults with several other organizations. He has edited a book in Pediatric Neuropsychology, authored 15 peer-reviewed publications, four book chapters, 16 national paper presentations, and 19 Abstracts/Brief Reports.

His current research interests include the relationship between resilience and allostatic load
