Biography

Sarita Devi is currently working as Assistant Professor, Veterinary Medicine, COVSc. & A.H., Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU), Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat. She completed her B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc. and PhD in the year 2006, 2008 and 2012. As an additional qualification she had done Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Information Technology in the year 2009 form Anand Agricultural University, where she gained experience in website development using Dream Viewer and Adobe Photoshop. She has an experience of four years in teaching and research. Being a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine she is having experience of treating various clinical cases and is having special hand on using electrocardiography in diagnosing heart diseases in canines. She had been conferred with ISVM INTAS YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD for outstanding research in masters in the year 2009 in the annual convention of Indian Society of Veterinary Medicine (ISVM) and Dr. RISHENDRA VERMA YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD (2016) for PhD research work in the annual convention of Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Research (IAAVR). She had also received BEST CLINICAL ARTICLE AWARD (2010) in Indian Journal of Veterinary Medicine and selected for Workshop on “Good Laboratory Practice” (GLP) organized by UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) and Industrial Toxicology Research Centre, Lucknow. Recently she got third best poster presentation award (2017) in annual conference of ISVM. She had published five review articles, two short communications and thirteen research articles in esteemed journals. She is having 1 MVSc under her guidance and is member of Advisory committee for MVSc students in different disciplines. She had attended over 20 conferences (national and international) and delivered talk on various topics in short courses and seminars. She had also attended training programmes and short courses organized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and successfully implied the gained knowledge in teaching and research.

Research Interests

Application of electrocardiography in diagnosing heart disease in canines radiography and echocardiography.
