David Hoffman is Associate Professor of Ethics and Health Policy and Healthcare Management Program Director at Maria College. He recently retired as Director of the Bureau of Community Integration and Alzheimer’s disease in the Office of Health Insurance Programs at the New York State Department of Health. For many years, he managed all dementia programming; traumatic brain injury education efforts, Money Follows the Person – a home and community rebalancing initiative, Medicaid Long Term Care Home and Community Based Waiver Programs, the Partnership for Long Term Care insurance program and represented the Health Department on the Geriatric Mental Health Planning Council. Prior to that experience he directed the Bureau of Chronic Disease Services focused on prevention and control of various chronic conditions and community wellness interventions. He also serves as a Senior Advisor with Cornerstone Government Affairs
