Manuel Jesus Verdecia Tamayo went through primary, secondary and pre-university studies established in the Cuban education system. She studied at the Higher Institute of Pedagogical Sciences Blas Roca where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education. Specialty in Labor Education and Technical Drawing (1994). Doctor in Political Science from the University of Havana (2016). Professor at the University of Granma (2018). He teaches undergraduate and graduate Philosophy and Political Theory programs. He has published articles in academic journals in his country and internationally, specializing in social sciences, political science and international political relations. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Political Science and International Relations (JPSIR) (2019-December 2021). He is a judge in the Journal of Social Sciences of the University of Costa Rica (2019, 2020).
