Francesco Aggogeri received his Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from University of Brescia and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering. He is currently Associate Professor of Applied Mechanics at University of Brescia (Italy). He regularly teaches “Robotics and Industrial Automation Systems” at Faculty of Engineering –University of Brescia. He has been responsible for unit coordinator of a number of international and national projects: EU-FP7 Integ Micro project (New production technologies of complex 3D Micro – devices through multi-process integration of ultra-precision engineering techniques), EU-FP7 Copernico project (Cooperation Environment For Rapid Design prototyping and New Integration Concepts for Factory of the Future), FIRB – Enabling Technologies for multitasking high precision machining of micro parts. He has been also scientific leader of projects funded by MIUR (PRIN) and private companies. He is part of the Editor Board of International Journals (e.g. Technologies, Robotics, and Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Current Materials Science), guest editor of a number of special issues (e.g. Applied Science, Sensors, Advanced in Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Engineering) and part of international conference committees (chair). He is inventor of patents on multifunctional materials for machine tool structures and devices for active vibration control. Actually, he is responsible and unit coordinator of PROGRAMS (PROGnostics based Reliability Analysis for Maintenance Scheduling) project funded by European Commission (H2020).
