Jian Yuan done his Ph.D. degree in Computer Application Technology from Ocean University of China, in 2011. He received the B.E. degree in Information Engineering from Qingdao University of Science and Technology, P.R. China, in 2004, the M.E. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineeringalso from Qingdao University of Science and Technology, P.R. China, in 2007 and From 2007 to 2008, he joined MESNAC Incorporated, Qingdao, China, engaging in the design and development of software in automation control. In 2011, he joined the Institute of Oceanographic Instrumentation as an Associate Professor, Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). His research interests include autonomous marine systems, swarm marine robots, formation control of marine vehicles. He has published more than fifty papers in important journals and conferences. He has published more than 50 papers, authorized 13 invention patents (the first place), registered 7 software copyrights; won the second prize for scientific and technological progress of Qingdao government, and the first prize for scientific and technological achievements of universities of Shandong Province.
