Dr. Dragos Octavian Palade is an ENT-HNS specialist certified by the Romanian Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in 2004. He became an ENT-HNS consultant in 2009. He obtained his medical degree from "Gr. T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania, in 1997. Subsequently, he completed his residency program in ENT-HNS at the same university, working in "Sf. Spiridon" University Hospital in 2004. Furthermore, he pursued a fellowship in nasal endoscopy - skull base surgery at Rennes - France Medical University in 2006. In 2004, he successfully completed his PhD program, focusing on the multimodal approach to studying sinonasal malignant tumors.
Presently, Dr. Dragos Octavian Palade serves as an Associate Professor at "Gr. T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania. In this role, he actively engages in teaching students and providing training to residents.
His primary areas of interest encompass endoscopic surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses, skull base surgery, surgical intervention for both benign and malignant tumors within the head and neck region, hoarseness/voice disorders, laryngeal microsurgery and phono-surgery, as well as infections affecting the deep spaces of the neck and mediastinum. Dr. Palade also specializes in handling "border-line" pathology, collaborating closely with neurosurgeons, ophthalmology surgeons, plastic surgeons, and other specialists such as radiotherapists, oncologists, and clinical pharmacologists. This collaborative approach allows for a comprehensive multimodal treatment of the complex pathology in this specific area.
