With a strong passion for translational medicine, author have had the opportunity to work in the fields of genetics and molecular biology, contributing to innovative studies on the mechanisms underlying pulmonary diseases. His most significant research experience has focused on lung transplant rejection, with particular emphasis on immune checkpoints—an area of crucial importance for modulating immune responses and improving transplant outcomes.
Through this work, we have identified and characterized key biomarkers involved in rejection mechanisms, opening new avenues for early diagnosis and risk stratification. I am strongly motivated to contribute actively to the advancement of translational medicine and aspire to lead innovative research projects aimed at developing new therapies and diagnostic approaches in pulmonary diseases and transplantation.
A PhD represents the natural next step to deepen my analytical and methodological skills, strengthen my scientific independence, and contribute meaningfully to public health by translating cutting-edge research into real therapeutic opportunities. Each day in the laboratory is a step toward these ambitious goals—an exciting opportunity to learn, innovate, and make a tangible difference.
