Biography

Nermin Kutlu wanted to study solar energy based on DSSCs when she was PhD student. However, she couldn’t have a laboratory facility. So she had to go other universities which have laboratory and some required materials. Firstly, when she was PhD student, she went to go to "Alexandru Ion Cuza University in Iasi/Romaniaa for experiments as Erasmus student. She has many experiences. She studied photo anodes coated with magnetron sputtering coating and spray pyrolysis coating, characterization of thin films with XRD, XPS and UV-Vis spectroscopy. For preventing of dark current seen in DSSCs, the first TiO2 layer of TiO2-based Bilayer Photo anode was coated by DCMS. The purpose of this study was showing the relationship between dark current and fill factor from photovoltaic performance and to reduce the dark current. Secondly, she went to Ege University Solar Energy Institute to do experiments of my PhD thesis with Farabi Exchange program supported by Council of Higher Education in Turkey (YOK) to go on my research at Ege University Solar Energy Institute. She learned many experiences such as using of some device, synthesizing and characterisation of nanomaterials, fabrication of DSSCs. She studied the fabricating of DSSCs, synthesis of doping TiO2, characterization of nanomaterials and analysing of DSSCs. She used the UV-Vis spectroscopy, AFM, XRD, EIS, IPCE, and other laboratory equipments.
