Alparslan Dilsiz is Professor of Periodontology Department in the Dentistry Faculty of Atatürk University in Erzurum, Turkey. He was born in Erzurum, in 1976. He has graduated from Atatürk University in 1998. He completed his Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Atatürk University in 2003. He works at Atatürk University Periodontology department as academician. Before academician, he studied at private dental clinic. He obtained his Associate Professor degree in 2010. He has been a member of the Turkish Dental Association, Turkish Society of Periodontology, European Federation of Periodontology, Turkish Associations of Periodontology and Oral Implantology, World Federation of Laser Dentistry and The International and American Association for Dental Research (IADR). He has fulfilled several studies on “Periodontal Plastic Surgery, Laser therapy, Photodynamic Therapy, Ozone Therapy, Periodontology, Dentistry, Physiology and Trauma” in and out of Turkey. He had some articles published in the eminent journals in field of Dentistry, particularly in field of Periodontology, and having attended several conferences in and out of Turkey. He has taken place in the Board of the Faculty of Dentistry in Atatürk University several times. He had been researching and practicing about periodontics and implant dentistry, and affiliated as Professor of Periodontics, Dean of Faculty and Head of Periodontology during his time at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University.
