Biography: Bistra Yordanova Blagova is an Oral Surgeon and Assistant Professor with extensive academic and clinical experience in Bulgaria. She serves at the Medical University of Sofia in the Department of Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology, and also practices oral surgery at leading institutions including UMHATEM "N. I. Pirogov", Medicron, Europe Hospital, and Dental Studio Perfect. Dr. Blagova has earned dual Master's degrees in Dental Medicine and Medicine, a defended PhD, and a clinical specialty in Oral Surgery.
She has completed numerous postgraduate trainings in oral implantology, laser dentistry, anatomy, salivary gland pathology, aesthetic medicine, and physician–patient communication. Her research work has been recognized with the “Professor Dimitar Kadanoff” Award (2023–2025), and she has participated in multiple scientific projects as both lead researcher and contributor. Dr. Blagova is an active member of the Bulgarian Anatomical Society, the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian Dental Union, and she serves on editorial boards of scientific journals.
