Yan Zeng earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Science (2014) from Analytical & Testing Center, Sichuan University, China. Yan is an associate professor with Department of Forensic Medicine, North Sichuan Medical College, China, and an instructor with Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester Medical Center, USA. She is engaged in teaching and research. Yan has a background in analytical chemistry, forensic toxicological analysis, and oral microbiology research. She intends to develop a career of conducting interdisciplinary research on the microbiota/microbiome profile of individuals who abuse addicted drugs/substances (with/without addictive disorders). She has been investigating and developing new trace analysis methods for toxicants.
