Luiz G Freitas Filho is the Pediatric Urologist in São Paulo, Brazil. He is the Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo His key skills are good experience in Pediatric Urology and he can speak French and English.
Coming to his education he has his PhD in medicine at São Paulo University, Ribeirão Preto Medical School in 1976. He was resident in Pediatric Surgery at Santa Lydia Childrens Hospital (1977-1981); Resident in Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology at Necker Enfants Malades and Bicêtre Childrens Hospital, in Paris (1982-1986). He is a board certificate in Pediatric Surgery by the brazilian society of pediatric surgery. He has a master degree in Surgery by Federal University of São Paulo and phD in Urology at Federal University of São Paulo. He did his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University (Boston. MS, USA) and at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (Wiston Salem, NC, USA) (2003 and 2004). Dr Freitas Filho has published more than fifty scientific papers, fourteen book chapters in pediatric urology and one hundred and forty-three papers at conferences and scientific meetings. He is currently referee of the journal Tissue Engineering (impact factor 4065) and the Journal of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (impact factor 4428). Dr Freitas Filho was laureate with important scientific awards, and currently is a research fellow of the Federal University of São Paulo and chair of the Pediatric Urology department of the Santa Marcelina Hospital in São Paulo.
