Biography

He is a Full Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt. He earned Ph.D. at Humboldt University Berlin. He has succeeded to get a highly appreciated Alexander von Humboldt, postdoctoral research fellowship. He was awarded a return fellowship from Alexander von Humboldt foundation. He was Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science, engaged in research and teaching. He occupied a position as the Head of the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University. He published three books and contributed during the last years, 70 peer-reviewed papers being mostly the first author. Also, some of his results were presented at international conferences around the world. He obtained a wide range of experiences as a reviewer, editorial board member, and journal editor-in-chief.
