Carlos Alberto Araujo Chagas is an Adjunct Professor (Class IV) of the Morphology Department of the Fluminense Federal University. Leader of the Medical Sciences Research Group (CAPES-CNPQ). Secretary of the Brazilian Association of Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise (2015/2016). Now currently holds the Scientific Director of the Brazilian Association of Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise (2017/2018) position. Guest Professor of the Post-Graduation Programs in the Carlos Chagas Foundation and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Angiology, 2008/2012). Staff of the Angiology Service from the Santa Casa de Misericordia, Rio de Janeiro (2003/2015). Angiology Staff of Rio de Janeiro since 2009. Ministered several courses, participated in 57 congresses, has 64 presentations and lectures, 66 papers in annals of events, 30 published papers, 1 editorial, in addition to 4 other bibliographic productions and 2 products (an anatomy application for smart phones and a website). Member of the Editorial Board of: Journal of Clinical Case Reports, Journal of Forensic Science and Research, Research and Review Archives, Journal Vascular Brasileiro, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, Case Reports in Internal Medicine, International Journal of Microbiology Research, EPH International Journal of Medical & Health Science. Performed over 70 manuscript reviews in the last 6 years. Senior Member of The American Association of Clinical Anatomists, Titular Member of the Pan American Society of Anatomy, Founder of A Brazilian Association of Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise – Rio de Janeiro. Possess 2 chapters in published books and 50 technical production items. Participated in 55 events in Brazil and 3 events abroad, in which he promoted three lectures. Supervised 60 works in several branches of research such as scientific initiation, graduation thesis, extension papers (which includes a portal of anatomy applied to health (www.aas.uff.br)) in addition to tutoring students in the area of Morphology. Received 14 awards and several honors. Possess a Master Degree in Human Anatomy, Specialization in Angiology, Specialization in Medical Expertise, Specialization in Occupational Medicine and is a Specialist in Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise.
