Biography

Lidiya Petrova was born and raised in Silistra, a small town in Northeast Bulgaria. She has hold a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology from Sofia University since 2008. Between 2007 and 2016 she was part of the academic staff of Molecular Biology of the Cell Cycle lab at the Institute of Molecular Biology Acad. Roumen Tsaneva, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. After several years of hard working she defended successfully her PhD thesis in Molecular Biology on October 29, 2013. In 2016 she won a competition and started working as Assistant Professor at Department of Anatomy, Histology, Cytology and Biology at Medical University of Pleven. She conducts practical training with students in the courses of Molecular and Cell Biology, Basic Immunology and Parasitology. In 2018 she acquired the academic position of Chief Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology at the Medical University of Pleven.
