Biography

Ghada Mohammed Mourad Fouad, PhD, is a Professor of Histology and Cell Biology, Alexandria Faculty of Medicine, since 2009. Her research interest is primarily in stem cells research , particularly in the fields of differentiation of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells into insulin producing cells as well as endogenous recruitment of stem cells for tissue repair e.g. for damaged inner ear neuroepithelium. Currently, she is the Executive Manager of the center of excellence for research in regenerative medicine and its applications, CERRMA. She is also the principal investigator for several projects granted by the Science and Technology Funds. She is an associate editor at Alexandria Journal of Medicine. She is a member of the council of medical education department.
