Biography

G Bupesh is currently serves as the Senior Research Scientist in the Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Bharath University, BIHER, Chennai, India and he is a full time Professor and Scientist in Center for Research, Cancer biology and Virology Laboratory at BIHER. He received a Bachelors of Biochemistry Degree from TBML College, at Poraiyar, South India. He received his Masters of Science Degree from MIET college, Bharathidasan University at Tiruchirapalli, India where he was active in hepatoprotective activity of Red algae in aflotoxin induced Liver toxicity. He received his master of philosophy in biotechnology from same Bharathidasan University and investigated the Vasopermeation agent from aflotoxin and the molecular mechanism was elucidated. On 2006 he pursued for Doctoral research programme, he received his Meritorious scholar fellowship from University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India . He Isolated novel nonspecific defense peptide from C. Butrachus and he challenged against K. pneumonia in mice model. He delivers the peptide drug using chitosan nanoparticles. Later He joined as Research Scientist in Department of Virology, King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research, guindy, Chennai, India. In the center for Non-communicable diseases, the helictres isora concoctions were evaluated for type-2 antidiabetic activity in human volunteers and find out the promising hypoglycemic activity. The novel antidiabetic compounds were elucidated and published in the Journal of Diabetes and Metabolism and Bioinformation journals. He was currently mentor and supervising PhD research scholars in the field of Life style diseases such as Gestational Diabetes, Type-2 diabetes mellitus, Marker development for the early diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. Further he also established synthesis of green metal oxide nanoparticles and its drug delivery & other biomedical applications. He has published over 28 peer reviewed research article with a focus on liver toxicology, Type diabetes Mellitus, Acute and chronic toxicity of herbal formulation for Type-2 diabetes mellitus. He has also published several chapters, and presented over 60 abstracts at national meetings.
